How can picking out a potty be so hard .... maybe I should try the t.v shows' YES DEAR method Season 2 episode 25 .  Let my child just go outside without a diaper and run around, he could pee or poop where ever he pleases . This summer we all plan to spend the majority of our time out in the pool so this would work right ???  I love it and he'd love it , no potty buying here.

Ok so your thinking I'm crazy and this method would be ridiculous ...... Your already thinking I'm nutts for starting my potty training at age 10 months , but no one ever put an age limit on what your child can learn.

I talk to Ken last night and we discussed the pottys and hands down for him the baseball potty won ! HAHA I guess it's never too early to get Jax use to someone cheering everytime he makes a pee right? ! Maybe he will grow up and not be shy either.... ( this could be good or a bad thing ) I need alittle more time to think about which one I'll invest my money in. Plus, I will be taking this week to document Jax's pottying schedule and teaching him the potty sign . I've learned three signs in sign language to help Jax and I communicate . Sign one to tell me he needs to potty . Sign two to tell me he is done . Sign three to wash his hands .

Day One - The Start

Ok ! I said I was going to start pottying training Jax earlier , So I have taken my first steps in doing so . I went to the store the other day to look at potties. Overwhelmed by the selection I decided to go home and think it through. Everyone tells me that boys are slower and hard to potty train. Especially since you have to do them in two steps : the sit down and the look at me I'm like Daddy .

So lets review my options and what's best and practical for a 10 month old to start wanting the potty and not in his diaper but on a seat.


Potty 1: Baby Bjorn - Supposedly this is suppose to be like supreme comfort for the baby's bottom and comes in a range of colors  $30

Potty 2 : The Cheer for me potty - Will this scare Jax? or will it encourage him ? If he drips alittle pee it sings .... $30

 

Potty 3: Potty Bench - Basically to sum it all up its the organizing potty .... Is this really necessary? $30

Potty 4 : The character potty comes in Toy Story , Cars, and so forth ....hmmmm does a 10 month have a favorite character that he wants to elimate on ?? maybe if it were baseball ...lol $25

Potty 6 :  Fisher Price 3 and 1 .... we can use it as a climbing tool after he is all done with it ... $27

Potty 7 : Of course if you think it they have it ! Munchkin Sporty Potty. Now this is what I'm talking about let's get Jax more baseball in his life , when they say " EAT SLEEP and PLAY Baseball " They mean it ! $33

Potty 8 : I call this one the very basic serve your purpose . Safety 1st 1-2-3 teach me . $17.64 . Need I say more .

Potty 9 : The earth friendly potty . Fisher price Precious Planet Froggy . Comes as a dino as well  $ 11

Potty 10 : Last but not least The portable potty trainerby Kalencom-potette- plus 2 in 1 . Hmmm for the mom on the go !! I love it  haha . $ 14.88 plus bags

SO .... now I know I have plenty of options to weigh out who knew .... geez I don't remember it being like this with Reese and Libby .

Do I need just functionality... Will he like music ...
